Anja Graf

Group CEO & Chairwoman

Anja Graf is the founder, owner, and CEO of VISIONAPARTMENTS. Born in Winterthur, Switzerland, in 1977, Graf began building her company at the age of 21. After receiving her schooling in Winterthur and Zurich, Graf gained valuable experience in the modeling business, including as the head of her own modeling agency. It was her work in this industry – arranging simple rooms for models working temporarily in Zurich, for example – that also inspired her idea to start a business in furnished apartments. VISIONAPARTMENTS was launched early on in 1999 with the opening of the first three design apartments in the heart of Zurich. Since then, led by Anja Graf, company has evolved independently and been successfully expanding beyond Switzerland's borders since 2009.


Max Thorne

Senior Board Director

Max Thorne has over 30 years of experience in the serviced apartments industry and has held senior roles at BridgeStreet Global Hospitality. He created the Beyonder aparthotel brand for Oaktree Capital Management’s platform, which was followed by the acquisition of SACO, and more recently was the lead advisor on the acquisition of SACO for Brookfield Asset Management. On top of that, Max established his own hospitality consulting firm, The MRP Group, which provides advice to many clients including some of the largest private equity and investment funds and houses. Max has been directly involved with delivering billions of pounds of investment into the sector. As chairman of the British Hospitality Association Aparthotel Committee, he has helped the serviced apartments sector gain recognition within the wider hospitality industry. At VISIONAPARTMENTS, Max is responsible for the global expansion and the distribution systems of the company.


Paweł Gawor

CEO of VISION Management Services GmbH

A graduate of Warsaw University Law School, Paweł Gawor brings many years of professional experience in multinational corporations like Unilever, Price Waterhouse Coopers and Lear Corporation. He was responsible for supply chain management, supplier performance and consulting services. He joined VISIONAPARTMENTS in February 2015 as a development manager, but his position changed quickly and he took on more and more responsibilities and different departments. One of his main achievements was building up a partnership network with serviced apartment providers worldwide. Hand in hand, he established VISIONAPARTMENTS’ agency business. Pawel reorganized the company’s facility management and logistics, resulting in a tremendous increase of process efficiency. With his extensive knowledge in operations, he successfully opened several new locations. Based on his extraordinary performance, he was appointed CEO of VISION Management Services GmbH in June 2018.


Ralph Büsser


Ralph Büsser has 20 years of experience in the Swiss real estate development sector. He did not only hold senior roles at numerous renown companies, but was also owner and founder of several firms, such as Blue Hour Invest AG and SOL Property AG. He is specialized in business development, contract management, process analysis, design and optimization. Furthermore, he is an expert in property management and client consulting. Ralph has also a comprehensive educational background; in addition to an Executive MBA, he also holds the CAS diploma in contract and construction law from the University of Fribourg and is a qualified civil and industrial engineer. As COO of VISIONAPARTMENTS, Ralph focuses on real estate and business development to lead the company towards further global growth.


Marcel Stoop

Group Head of Finance / CFO

Marcel Stoop is a certified accountant who completed his basic commercial training and academic studies of business in Zurich. After gaining his first professional experience at UBS, he went on to hold positions as an accountant and a trustee. Stoop began working as a CFO in 2005, first at BT&T (a small international investment trust) and then at the Swiss real estate company ACRON. Since September 2014, he has been serving as Group Head of Finance / CFO at VISIONAPARTMENTS, where he oversees the accounting department and manages the financing of the company’s properties.


Moussa Samake

Group Head of Sales

Moussa Samake studied political science at the Paul Cézanne Aix-Marseille III university and then worked at Hunter College in New York. Yet his subsequent workplaces were located globally which contributed to his international affinity and adaptability. Among other things, he has already gathered work experience as Sales & Marketing Manager, U. S. Account Manager at customer service and in management roles in CRM, corporate business development and sales. His last three management positions have been held at Halldis in the field of serviced apartments. His specialties are sales, developing selling strategies and establishing partnerships. As Group Head of Sales since January 2017, he focuses in particular on the French part of Switzerland. He is also in charge of the international serviced apartment partnerships worldwide.


Gérard Daniel Lerner

Group Head of Real Estate Development

Developing real estate projects is akin to turning visions into reality. Since joining VISIONAPARTMENTS in January 2017, Gérard D. Lerner has been responsible for developing, planning, and realising the company's own major endeavours as Group Head of Real Estate Development. An experienced architect and project developer, Lerner previously served as a building trustee for numerous well-known principals, including SBB Immobilien AG and Credit Suisse AG. In recent years, he also played an essential role in establishing the Swiss Property Development Group. Overall, Gérard Lerner has been involved in the Swiss real estate market for more than 10 years. He has taken on an impressive variety of challenges and boasts a similarly broad range of professional experience in architecture, property development, and building trusteeship and management. Lerner also holds a master's degree in architecture from ETH Zurich.

Jean-Marc Aiello

Head of Acquisitions

Jean-Marc Aiello has more than 24 years of professional experience as a head of banking and finance, a deputy branch manager at a Swiss bank, the CEO and business/project manager of a multi-family office, and a head of project management. He joined VISIONAPARTMENTS in 2014 and is now working closely with the executive management team on the company’s strategic international expansion and business development. Jean-Marc is also jointly responsible for new international real estate projects, banking, and investor relations.


Joanna Wygladala

Head of Finance and Controlling

Joanna Wygladala has a comprehensive educational background in financing, accounting, and tax. In addition to holding a master’s degree in finance and business from the Warsaw School of Economics, she has built up a wealth of business experience in working for international corporations for more than 15 years. Before joining VISIONAPARTMENTS in July 2010, she worked as head of finance and administration at Metro Group Poland. Joanna is now in charge of structuring and managing the areas of financial support and controlling. She has built up the company’s finance department in Warsaw, where she is responsible for financial operations, cash flow planning, and the settlement of costs among VISIONAPARTMENTS’ various subsidiaries. As a proxy, Joanna also supervises the company’s support center in Warsaw.
