Discover Berlin with our local office employees

To take in all the points of interest and diversity Germany’s capital city has to offer, you’re probably going to need more than just a long weekend. That’s why you’ll be happy to hear that VISIONAPARTMENTS specialises in long stays at rates that are even more attractive for more extended periods. In addition to guiding VISIONAPARTMENTS Berlin to outstanding success since its opening in 2013, local office manager Caroline Stelzer and sales manager Sandra Fuchs know their city inside-out and are happy to help make sure guests don’t miss a single highlight. For some personal insider tips that are sure to make your next stay in Berlin unforgettable, simply read on.

Dining

We are enthusiasts of the creative Asian restaurant Transit located at Rosenthaler Strasse 68 in Berlin-Mitte. Transit serves a great variety of Thai and Indonesian tapa-style dishes. You can enjoy a meal encompassing a wide range of tastes and ingredients.

Another place worth recommending is our favorite Spanish restaurant called Tres Tapas at Lychener Strasse 30 on Prenzlauer Berg. Here you can taste all the best that Spain has to offer, from original paella, fish and meat dishes grilled on lava stone, as well as a wide selection of imported wines and homemade tapas.

For those who want to try the famous Berlin Curry Wurst, we suggest going to Konnopke at Eberswalder Straße. This is definitely the most popular joint in town dishing up iconic Berlin sausage with ketchup seasoned with aromatic curry. Additionally, a side of pommes (French fries) with mayonnaise are also recommended from our point of view.

The best Burgers, steaks and club sandwiches you will get at The Bird Am Falkenplatz 5 on Prenzlauer Berg.

Shopping

If you are enthusiast of department stores, you can visit Galeria Kaufhof (directly at Alexanderplatz close to our VISIONAPARTMENTS), Galeries Lafayette (exclusive store chain from Paris) at Friedrichstrasse 76 - 78  or KaDeWe (the biggest and oldest department store in Berlin) at Wittenbergplatz.

However, if you are looking for more crazy and unique clothes and accessories, you should definitely stop by at the Hackescher Markt area, Ku’Damm or then at Made in Berlin at Neue Schönhauser Strasse 19.

Culture and sightseeing

For those looking for the best views in Berlin, we suggest Panoramapunkt at Potsdamerplatz 1. The elevator takes you to the top in 20 seconds and there is a café where visitors can enjoy drinks and cake with the city’s skyline as a backdrop.

Do you want to discover Berlin 360°? Then you’re in just the right place at the TV tower just next to our VISIONAPARTMENTS. From 203 and 207 metres high you can look out over the entire city with its large number of tourist attractions: you can see the Reichstag (Parliament building), the Brandenburg Gate and the Main Railway Station from here, as well as the Olympic Stadium, the Museum Island and the Potsdam Square.

Visiting the famous East Side Gallery is furthermore a must for everybody coming to Berlin. Here you can see a decorated one mile of the eastern segment of the Wall.

In addition, especially in summer time, boat tours are also a nice way to spend time and explore the city.

Talking about summer, don’t forget that you can enjoy some delicious cocktails at one of the various beach bars next to the Spree or have a refreshing bath at the Badeschiff in Treptow at Eichenstrasse 4.

Nightlife and clubbing

The Monkey Bar in the Bikini Berlin House opened recently but already has many fans. Famous for its roof-top parties, it has become a hot spot in Berlin. You can find it at Budapesterstrasse 40.

Located in the iconic Café Moscow building at Karl-Marx-Allee 34, the Avenue is the number one club among locals and visitors alike. There is no better place for weekend parties. It does not only offer various kinds of music (disco, R&B, electro, house, hip-hop) and an excellent sound system, but also always attracts us by modern interior design and great atmosphere. As an interesting fact we would like to add that one of our tenants is an investor of the mentioned club.

One of the most exclusive clubs in town is The Pearl at Fasanenstrasse 81 in Charlottenburg. You enjoy a huge bar serving potent cocktails and a large dance floor animated by professional dancers.
